Default Travel arrangements - Scapa Flow June 12th to 18th 2010

Hi Guys,

Travel arrangements.

I'm waiting for confirmation but it looks like we will be joined by 3 or 4 friends from Dunstable SAC who will make their own way to the boat.

I understand our three European friends Edmund, A Schaap and Jan have made their own travel arrangements to be on the boat Saturday evening.

Edmund, please confirm this is the case?

John, Robin any idea what your travel plans are and what ferry crossing you wish to take?

To help you out these are the ferry times from Scrabster on Saturday 12th.
08:45
13:15
16:45
bear in mind that we are not diving on the Saturday and cannot board the boat before 14:00 So I'm suggesting 13:15 as it will give us time to get kit sorted and some team bonding so we are good to go early Sunday morning.

Coming home on the 19th you can get up real early and catch the 06:30 ferry from Stromness or wait until the 11:00 boat.
Liisa and I are planning on catching the 06:30 boat.

Please confirm your travel arrangements and your preferred ferry crossing so that I can make the bookings. If you are planning on taking a car across then I need to know that as well but remember that the car crossing will cost extra (roughly £45.80 per car each way)
We will be taking the Discovery across and may be able to put some of your cylinders in the back but please don't count on us fitting everything in as we are visiting dealers on the way up north and will have a fair amount of demo equipment with us.

Finally if its easier to make your own ferry booking then please do so and just let me know the details (I will refund the £31 per person cost )

regards

David

PS. Gasses

Air is free
Nitrox is on board
Trimix has to be pre ordered

I need to give the skipper a idea of what fills we will need so;

1) Please confirm to me what size tanks you will be taking including stages / deco bottles
2) Please confirm what gasses you will be diving assuming that we will be diving two proper dives a day with a decent surface interval not a wreck followed by a shallow dive.
As advertised the dives are all planned in the tech one depth range which is easy as the seabed in the flow is 48m max most the Capital wrecks are huge so its possible to enjoy diving without going anywhere near that deep.
